Introduction

This guide will show you how to change the display mode between "Extend" and "Duplicate" on Windows 10 with multiple monitors or a projector.


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Open the Start Menu

  • Click on the Start button located at the bottom-left corner of your screen.

2. Access Settings

  • Click on the Settings icon (a gear) to open the Settings menu.

3. Navigate to Display Settings

  • In the Settings window, select System.
  • Click on Display from the sidebar.

4. Adjust Multiple Displays

  • Scroll down to the Multiple displays section.
  • Click on the dropdown menu under Multiple displays.

5. Select Display Mode

  • Choose your preferred display mode:
    • Extend these displays: Expands your desktop across multiple screens, allowing you to move your cursor between them.
    • Duplicate these displays: Mirrors your primary display onto the secondary screen, useful for presentations.

6. Apply Changes

  • After selecting your desired mode, click Keep changes to confirm.
