Epraise offers a suite of built-in classroom tools designed to streamline teaching and classroom management. These tools are accessible when you select a class or tutor group and have a class view on the screen.
Bulk Award (3-star button): Allows you to award points, demerits, interventions, accolades, achievements, and draw entries to multiple students simultaneously.
Grid Award (9-circles button): If enabled by your school, this feature lets you award students in several categories at the same time.
Random Student Selector (dice button): Helps you randomly select a student to answer a question or perform a task.
Timer (stopwatch button): Provides a countdown timer to manage task durations.
Student Grouper (4-students button): Assists in dividing the class into groups by setting the desired group size; the tool will handle the distribution.
Switch Seating Plan (two horizontal arrows button): Enables the creation of multiple seating plans for a class, useful if teaching the same class in different rooms.
Student Shuffler (seating plan only, crossed arrows button): Allows you to rearrange the seating plan either temporarily or permanently.
Reset Seating Plan (curved arrow button): Completely resets your seating plan; this action cannot be undone.
Customize Your View (cog icon): Personalizes the information displayed on your seating plan or grid view by adding grades, photographs, and detailed student data.
Epraise offers various views to display class information:
Seating Plan: Allows teachers to arrange students into set seats. To create a new seating plan for a class, click on the two horizontal arrows button, name your current and new plans, and arrange students accordingly. You can switch between plans using the switch icon. Additional student information, such as SEN status, can be displayed within seating plans by clicking on the cogs icon and selecting or deselecting the relevant information.
Attendance: If your school has purchased SIMS writeback, the Attendance option is available for all your classes and tutor groups. This section allows you to mark individual pupil attendance, view previous attendance marks, and record comments. To enter attendance marks, select the relevant mark for each student. To mark everyone as present at once, click the "All present" button at the top of the page. These marks will then be written back into your school's MIS that day.
